잔을 흔들면 18년을 보낸 탈리스커가 밝은 황금빛을 잔 벽을 타고 흘려보낸다. 코끝으로 가져가면 스카이 섬 증류소답게 짭짤한 바다 내음과 후추, 옅은 피트 연기가 함께 솟아오른다. 한 모금을 머금으면 50도의 술이 꿀과 시트러스, 알싸한 후추로 퍼지고 탈리스커 특유의 화한 매운맛이 혀를 자극한다. 물을 몇 방울 더하면 알싸한 후추 뒤로 달콤한 꿀과 시트러스가 한결 또렷해진다. 천천히 삼키면 바다의 짠맛과 따뜻한 향신료가 어우러진 뒷맛이 길게 따라온다.
