스코틀랜드 스카이 섬 탈리스커는 거센 대서양 파도와 화산암 토양 위에서 후추 같은 강렬함을 빚어낸다. 1988년 증류된 11년 숙성이 잔에 옅은 황금빛을 입혔고, 코에는 짭조름한 바다 내음과 모닥불 연기, 후추가 또렷하게 솟는다. 50도의 힘 있는 입안에서는 검은 후추와 훈연, 보리 단맛이 거침없이 부딪친다. 섬의 풍토를 담은 여운은 매콤한 후추와 짠 미네랄을 길게 남긴다.
