잔을 흔들면 짙은 호박빛이 잔벽을 무겁게 흐른다. 코끝으로 가져가면 1979년 탈리스커에서 오래된 석탄과 시가 재, 검댕에 셰리의 쌉쌀한 코코아가 겹쳐 올라온다. 64.2도의 강렬한 도수라 물을 넉넉히 섞어 머금으면 짠 바다 내음과 탈리스커 특유의 검은 후추, 마른 쓴맛이 혀를 강하게 친다. 삼키면 재와 소금기가 스카이 섬다운 거친 여운으로 입안에 오래 남는다.
