테이스팅 노트
엑스버번 캐스크 100%라는 구성은 셰리의 단맛 없이 증류소의 왁스 결을 앞세운다. 첫 향은 수줍다가 밀랍과 니스, 들판의 꽃 내음으로 서서히 열리고 옅은 훈연과 고무 냄새가 붙는다. 46도 입안은 생각보다 힘이 있어 그을린 빵 껍질과 조린 과일이 묵직하게 입을 채운다. 황금빛 뒷맛에는 볶은 곡물의 고소함이 길게 걸린다.

rather discreet at first nosing but getting nicely fragrant, with quite some wax polish, varnish (good varnish ;-)), beeswax… Very delicate, in fact, not too expressive but quite refined and elegant. Notes of nectar, flowers from the fields, getting a little smoky and rubbery (new rubber band). Very nice, although there’s also some smells of hot metal (hot still?)
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
more powerful this time, quite rubbery again, with some burnt bread, overcooked fruit sauce. Nice, quite balanced and showing lots of oomph but not too complex. The finish is very nice, though, on all sorts of roasted things. In short, a very good one, very enjoyable. 87 points . Springbank NAS (46%, OB, House and Tree label, Germany, mid 1990’s)
