잔 속 금빛은 열두 해의 시간을 담아 은근하게 빛난다. 향은 성냥을 그은 직후의 유황과 그을음, 점토의 냄새로 시작해 레몬 향 세제와 자갈, 기름의 결로 옮겨간다. 물을 더하면 비 온 뒤 오래된 차고의 축축한 콘크리트 냄새가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 54.3도의 힘은 입에서 훈연한 레몬과 파라핀, 시가 재로 번지고 비터오렌지와 생강이 그 사이를 파고든다. 여운은 길고 새콤하며 절인 생강과 재의 매콤함이 끝까지 이어진다.
