테이스팅 노트
잔을 코끝까지 들어 올리면 시럽처럼 걸쭉한 첫인상 뒤로 젖은 조약돌과 잉크 냄새가 따라온다. 손목을 돌려 술을 깨우면 옅은 이탄 연기와 마른 허브, 여러 갈래의 과일 향이 번갈아 지나간다. 5년을 채운 이 퓨어 몰트를 한 모금 머금으면 구두약과 노란 리큐어 같은 단맛, 삼베와 라임 껍질이 뒤엉킨다. 삼키고 나면 왁스와 그을음이 길게 이어진다. 짧은 숙성으로도 원액의 힘이 온전히 드러난다.

Superbly fresh and coastal with an almost glycerol, syrupy quality. It screams pure ‘old Springbank’ with all these wee notes of ink, pebbles, many shades of fruit, a background wisp of peat smoke and soft herbal and resinous tones. I’d say that this goes to show that great distillate doesn’t need great age, however, this being Springbank, they may have made up the numbers with some 30 year old... Anyway, continues to flex with these notes of shoe polish, mineral oil, precious waxes and hints of beach sand and medical tinctures
