테이스팅 노트
잔을 흔들어 향을 열면 옛 시대의 애버라워답게 곡물 향 위로 고무와 옅은 유황, 오래 묵은 맥주 같은 개성 강한 뉘앙스가 먼저 드러난다. 익숙한 셰리 몰트와는 사뭇 다른 방향이다. 한 모금 입에 굴리면 40도의 가벼운 몸통 위로 차게 식은 홍차와 유칼립투스, 프로폴리스와 마른 건초의 향이 좁지만 강렬하게 번진다. 1979년 증류된 이 스페이사이드 몰트는 개성이 뚜렷해, 삼킨 뒤에도 독특한 약초의 끝맛이 오래 남는다.

very strange! Aromatically narrow, yet very punchy. Notes of cold tea, aspartame, eucalyptus. Lots of propolis, hay, tar, gentian roots… Very special indeed, unlike any other malt. Not utterly enjoyable but interesting… 82 points . Aberlour 10 yo (40%, OB, white label, late 80’s)
