더프타운의 사슴 골짜기에서 태어난 글렌피딕은 스페이사이드 몰트의 대명사로, 온화한 풍토가 우아한 과일 향을 빚는다. 올로로소 셰리와 버번을 결합한 이 18년 퍼페추얼 배트는 옅은 금빛을 띠고, 코에는 꿀과 브리오슈, 설탕에 절인 시트러스와 헤이즐넛이 인다. 47.8도의 입안은 기름진 질감 위로 맥아 시럽과 베르가못, 청사과 껍질과 레몬 캔디가 어우러진다. 여운은 중간 길이로 후추와 고소한 시리얼, 시트러스가 달큰하게 남는다.

you do indeed get the impression there was a fair mix of ages involved. There's quite a few varieties of honey, brioche, crystallised citrus peels, candied hazelnuts, plum eau de vie, straw and linens. I find it a very attractive and easy nose
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
the ABV works well here as I find so often with OB Glenfiddichs that the measly bottling strengths hurt them. Here's there's an oiliness to the mouthfeel with impressions of malt syrup, bergamot, lanolin and green apple peelings which all works very well. Some lemon cough drops, farmhouse cider and a few crunchy cereals. Indeed, it feels almost like a more rustic style of Glenfiddich. Mind you, what's more rustic than a collapsed warehouse roof?
