페드로 히메네스 호그스헤드에서 15년을 보낸 시간이 이 위스키를 극단까지 밀어붙였다. 스페이사이드 글렌알라키는 호두 껍질과 엔진오일, 감초와 커피가 뒤섞인 짙고 어두운 향을 뿜어낸다. 59.7도의 강한 도수를 타고 입안에는 짭짤한 감초와 송진, 자두즙 같은 걸쭉한 단맛이 밀려든다. 에스프레소를 닮은 검붉은 빛만큼이나 여운은 길고 진하며, 끝으로 갈수록 짙은 멘톨이 서늘하게 감돈다.

great fun. Crazy smoke, salty liquorice, pine resin, prune juice and Loch Dhu, only a thousand times better than Loch Dhu. With water: chestnut purée and tarry liquorice. More please
