잔을 가까이 하면 바닐라와 살구, 라임꽃과 캐모마일 같은 허브의 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 글렌알라키 12년은 루비 포트 캐스크에서 마무리한 48도 스페이사이드 몰트로, 포트 특유의 은은한 붉은 뉘앙스가 감돈다. 팰럿은 크리미하며 살구 타르트와 바닐라 크림, 아카시아 꿀이 순차적으로 발전한다. 도수가 적당해 단맛과 허브의 결이 산뜻하게 균형을 잡는다. 포트 마무리의 붉은 과일 뉘앙스가 스피릿과 부드럽게 이어진다. 피니시는 레몬 쪽으로 조여지며 허브의 뉘앙스가 남는다.
