붉은 기가 살짝 도는 옅은 구릿빛이 잔에 감돈다. 마르살라를 담았던 리필 호그스헤드가 남긴 향은 말린 무화과와 붉은 자두, 아몬드 껍질로 나타나 헤이즐번의 맑은 보리 향과 겹친다. 59.1도의 입안은 첫 순간 뜨겁게 조여들지만 곧 건포도와 흑설탕, 오렌지 마멀레이드로 열리고 세 번 증류한 원액다운 부드러움이 뒤를 받친다. 2006년에서 2021년에 이르는 시간이 여운에 마른 향신료로 남아 오래 이어진다.
