Tasting Notes
세월이 응축된 짙은 적호박빛이 잔에 깊이 자리한다. 1967년 빈티지 토마틴이 셰리 캐스크에서 50년을 보낸 50 이어 올드 블랙의 향은 셰리 캐스크의 영향이 짙게 밴 농밀한 건포도와 무화과, 다크 초콜릿, 그리고 하이랜드 특유의 묵직한 몰트 캐릭터와 묵은 셀러의 가죽이 다층적으로 어우러진다. 한 모금에 46도의 절제된 도수가 매끄럽게 펼쳐지며 흑설탕 시럽과 마른 자두, 호두 페이스트, 옅은 시가 잎이 차례로 흐른다. 반세기의 시간이 빚어낸 토마틴 50년의 우아하고 깊은 여운.

air Nose
not first fill. It’s very nice, but it hasn’t got the brightness of the bourbon. Having said that it’s quite subtle, with some tobacco and autumn leaves, and rather more overripe apples instead of fresh bright fruits. Like the whiffs of freshly brewed coffee that rise to our nostrils after a few minutes, as well as the obligatory walnuts. It catches up with the lovely bourbon!
restaurant Palate
… and overtakes it, thanks to a finer, more complex profile that hasn’t lost any of its fruity brightness. Dates, tobacco, grapefruits, apples, dried pears, dried bananas, a touch of leather, walnut wine… This is very excellent!
timer Finish
medium to long – a little longer than that of the BB – with a perfect tobacco-ish and walnutty profile. Stays very clean
