Tasting Notes
잔을 가까이 하면 강렬한 피트 연기와 레몬, 옅은 셰리 단맛이 명확하게 드러난다. 리필 셰리에서 4년만 익힌 어린 킬호만은 팰럿에서 그을린 보리와 시트러스, 후추가 날카롭게 발전하며 60%의 높은 도수가 강한 골격을 만든다. 어린 숙성에도 아일라 신생 증류소다운 또렷한 훈연이 중심을 잡는다. 피니시는 길고 매캐하게 재와 소금기가 남는다. 젊은 피트 몰트의 힘이 분명하게 드러나는 한 잔이다.

aww, this is completely different from the 2007, much less smoky and much more on fruits such as, indeed, peaches. So it’s more spirity, more estery and more… difficult to nose. Too strong! With water: ah, good, now it works. A 5-l can of antiseptic and seawater
restaurant Palate
nah, this is quite superb. Zesty yet already rounded (I didn’t write smooth, did I!) and massively salty. The closest combination of flavours I could think of is sea urchin with a glass of Beaucastel blanc, but that would be showing off again. With water: perfect, we’re now exactly where the 2007 was, plus some unexpected notes of Vicks Vaporub. Boo hoo…
