잔을 흔들고 곧바로 코를 대면 68.8도가 콧속을 찌르니 잠시 기다렸다 향을 맡는 편이 낫다. 그러면 태운 설탕과 구운 옥수수, 바닐라가 차례로 드러난다. 한 모금을 소량만 머금으면 뜨거운 알코올 뒤로 당밀과 계피, 다크 초콜릿이 이어진다. 2009년 증류 원액을 배럴 그대로 담아낸 아카이브스 보틀링답게 희석 없이는 감당이 쉽지 않다. 물을 더하면 곡물의 단맛이 열리고 여운은 후추로 길게 닫힌다.
