잔을 손안에서 천천히 굴린 뒤 코를 가까이 하면 올로로소 셰리가 남긴 호두와 말린 자두, 짙은 갈색 설탕의 향이 먼저 올라오고 버번 피니시가 더한 바닐라가 그 위에 산뜻함을 얹는다. 한 모금 머금으면 52.4도의 기세를 따라 무화과와 가죽, 다크 초콜릿이 번지며 벤리네스 특유의 기름진 질감이 혀를 두껍게 감싼다. 13년의 시간이 셰리와 버번을 단단히 붙여 놓았다. 삼키면 견과와 마른 오크의 쌉싸름한 온기가 목 안쪽에 오래 감돈다.
