잔을 흔든 뒤 코를 살짝 떨어뜨려 맡으면 흑설탕과 바닐라가 먼저 열린다. 가까이 가면 그을린 배럴과 마른 담배가 층을 이룬다. 한 모금 머금어 오래 굴리면 토피와 육두구가 묵직하게 입을 채우고 50도의 도수가 혀 중심을 잡는다. 천천히 넘기면 코코아와 오렌지 껍질이 남아 10년 숙성이 만든 결을 또렷이 보여준다. 마지막 한 모금까지 힘이 빠지지 않는다.
