짙은 호박빛이 잔 속에 잔잔히 잠겨 있어 1979년에 증류된 글렌드로낙 원액이 17년을 견딘 시간을 그대로 드러낸다. 노즈에는 잘 익은 자두와 마른 무화과, 옅은 가죽 향이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입에서는 다크 토피와 호두 껍질, 빻은 후추가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르고 51.9도의 알코올이 단단한 골격을 받친다. 동부 하이랜드 글렌드로낙 특유의 짙은 단맛이 마지막 여운까지 길게 이어진다.
