Tasting Notes
애버딘셔 고지대의 글렌드로낙은 짙은 올로로소 셰리 숙성으로 명성을 쌓은 증류소다. 31년을 올로로소 셰리에서 보낸 이 그랜저 보틀링은 잔에 깊은 마호가니빛을 드리우고, 향에서는 말린 자두와 무화과, 가죽과 다크 초콜릿이 깊게 피어오른다. 입에서는 셰리의 진한 단맛과 호두, 검은 향신료가 묵직하게 입을 채우며 45.8도가 오랜 세월을 둥글게 감싼다. 여운에는 건포도와 오크 탄닌이 길게 이어진다.

typical raisiny sherry but it’s not a monster, not at all, rather a whispering olorosoed Speysider. Roasted nuts and blackcurrant leaves and buds, walnuts, a little tamarind, whiffs of old wood, old red Burgundies… Becomes drier and drier, with a little leather, old pencil box, a slight dustiness, old papers, maybe a little soot, coffee beans (freshly opened pack of coffee)… Little fruits in this one
restaurant Palate
easier, rather fruitier and smoother but also a little tannic and tea-ish after a few seconds, with notes of grape pips, apple peelings, fresh walnuts, green tea… Also a little mint, some ginger, bitters…
timer Finish
long, on marmalade and ginger. Quite some cinnamon and mint as well
