페틀라스 인근 고지에 숨은 작은 에드라두어는 서늘한 하이랜드 공기 속에서 진한 셰리 몰트를 빚는다. 셰리 버트에서 10년을 보낸 이 위스키는 짙은 적갈색을 머금는다. 향에서는 건자두와 다크체리, 묵은 가죽의 달큰함이 깊게 깔리고 옅은 흙내가 더해진다. 58.3도의 입안에서는 무화과 잼과 흑설탕, 정향의 매콤함이 풀바디로 번진다. 중간에는 호두와 다크초콜릿, 커피의 쌉쌀함이 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 진한 셰리 단맛과 그을린 오크의 여운이 길고 뜨겁게 이어진다.

yep, old-school sherry monster, full of pipe juice, caraway indeed, sloe, cloves, ginger cookies, leather, black cigars (I cannot not think of Italian Toscano cigars), then a lot of blackcurrant jam, blackberries, fiery young Nuits-St-Georges… With water: back to saltier elements, soups, broths, bouillons, herbs, stock cubes, wine, caraway…
