잔을 가볍게 흔들면 짙은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 타고 천천히 흘러내린다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 옥수수 단맛과 바닐라가 먼저 인사하고 그을린 화이트 오크가 뒤를 받친다. 한 모금을 머금으면 50도의 도수가 무색하게 캐러멜과 흑설탕이 혀 위를 두껍게 감싼다. 삼키고 나면 계피와 오크 탄닌이 목 안쪽에 오래 남고 헨리 매케나 10년이 지닌 보틀드 인 본드 특유의 단단함이 뒤늦게 따라온다.
