Tasting Notes
오랜 셰리의 손길이 입힌 짙은 적갈색이 잔 속에 깊이 고인다. 스코틀랜드 하이랜드의 작은 에드라두어 증류소가 퍼스트필 올로로소 셰리 벗에서 길러낸 이 위스키는 건포도와 다크 초콜릿, 말린 무화과의 향이 풍성하게 피어오른다. 46도의 단정한 도수 덕에 입안은 매끄럽게 흐르며 호두와 흑설탕, 가죽의 풍미가 겹겹이 쌓인다. 스코틀랜드에서 가장 작은 증류소 가운데 하나다운 진하고 묵직한 풍미가 인상적이다. 12년 숙성이 빚어낸 셰리의 깊이가 묵직하게 입을 채우고, 여운에는 마른 과일과 쌉쌀한 카카오가 길게 남는다.

sometimes some Edradours are difficult because of their, say unusual profile, but sometimes that profile can be an asset, especially when it’s not too obvious. Yes, talking about that kind of soapiness that, in fact, isn’t really soapy, rather ‘bizarrely leathery’ if you see what I mean. Anyway, it’s well here in this Caledonia but blended with several very nice aromas such as chestnut honey, cured ham (Jabugo, really) and just touches of camphor that go very well with the whole. Also some flinty notes and just wee whiffs of gunpowder
restaurant Palate
I think this one’s got all the good sides of Edradour. Marrons glacés, orange cake, marmalade, some leather and chlorophyll (gums), hints of kummel and cardamom, grapefruits… Nice profile, probably cleaner than usual. Liquorice allsorts. Pleasant, creamy mouth feel
