보르도 캐스크에서 11년을 보낸 옅은 화이트 와인빛이 잔 속에서 맑게 빛난다. 에드라두어의 피트 몰트 발레친 2005는 리필 캐스크 특유의 절제된 향을 드러내며, 바닐라 퍼지와 버터스카치, 갓 구운 크루아상의 향이 부드럽게 열린다. 57.1도의 힘이 입에서 보리와 곡물, 그린게이지 자두와 금빛 건포도의 결을 밀어 올린다. 정갈한 균형이 강한 도수 아래 살아 있고, 여운은 길게 이어지며 미라벨 자두와 오드비의 잔향을 오래 남긴다.

it’s clean, and it’s even very good. Nothing that goes astray, rather barley, cereals, a touch of earth, some greengages indeed but no excessive mirabelly notes, and just a handful of golden raisins. All is fine and well in this baby. Now, it’s, cough, quite strong. I should have added water

long and there, mirabelles and the fabulous eau-de-vie we Alsatians are making thereof. Haha…
