잔에 코를 대면 바닐라와 캐러멜이 곧바로 드러나고 뒤에서 마른 오렌지가 따라온다. 향의 무게는 곡물 단맛보다 오크 쪽에 실려 있다. 입에서는 흑설탕과 육두구, 볶은 피칸이 차례로 발전하며 50도의 알코올이 혀 중앙을 단단하게 누른다. 헨리 맥케나 10년은 배럴마다 개성이 다르지만 뼈대는 일정하게 유지되는 편이다. 피니시는 구운 오크와 후추로 건조하게 마무리된다.
