하이랜드 남쪽 로몬드 호숫가에 선 로크 로몬드는 독특한 직선형 증류기로 개성 있는 원액을 빚는다. 아메리칸 오크에서 12년을 보낸 이 위스키는 잔에 맑은 골드빛을 담는다. 46도의 향은 가벼운 바닐라와 톱밥, 잘 익은 사과에 포리지와 에일의 결이 더해진다. 한 모금 넣으면 사과와 배, 곡물의 단맛이 번지지만 오크에서 온 산미가 또렷이 비친다. 여운은 잘 익은 사과와 라거 맥주의 뉘앙스로 중간 길이를 그리며 마무리된다.
