잔벽에 술을 얇게 입히고 기다리면 굵은 다리가 느리게 내려온다. 코끝을 대면 버터스카치와 잘 익은 체리가 먼저 인사하고 이어 옥수수 특유의 달큰한 곡물 향이 올라온다. 혀 위에 굴리듯 머금으면 메이플 시럽과 정향이 함께 퍼지고 50도의 알코올이 뺨 안쪽을 확실히 자극한다. 삼킨 뒤에는 코코아와 마른 담뱃잎이 남아 다음 모금을 부른다. 10년을 채운 헤븐힐 싱글 배럴답게 무게중심이 낮게 잡혀 있다.
