Tasting Notes
리필 호그스헤드에서 15년을 보낸 흔적이 벤리악 1996의 부드러운 보리 단맛을 또렷이 드러낸다. 스페이사이드의 이 올드 몰트 캐스크는 잔에서 사과꽃과 맥아 비스킷, 옅은 꿀 향이 가볍게 피어오른다. 50도의 도수로 입안은 바닐라와 구운 곡물, 풋배의 신선한 단맛이 산뜻하게 흐른다. 리필 우드 덕에 오크는 은은하게 비치고, 보리와 꽃향의 여운이 길고 맑게 이어지는 옅은 금빛이다.

right, it’s a style. It’s not to my liking but this time it’s not repulsive, not at all, and we’re rather in the style of Edradour’s Ballechins. Probably from inactive casks before the finishing process. Notes of strawberries, ‘green’ peat, garden bonfire and quite a lot of smoked tea. Cherry stem tea. With water: becomes very farmy, ala Ballechin indeed

smoky strawberry jam! It’s a narrow and simple profile but it’s very spectacular and technically perfect (as far as I can tell). With water: more of all that. Smoked strawberries, Jell-O, peated jelly beans?
