아메리칸 버번 배럴에서 숙성 후 버건디 와인 배럴에서 마무리한 이력이 이 벤리악 17년에 붉은 과실의 결을 입혔다. 향은 와인 같은 산미와 고무 내음이 스치다 크리스마스 케이크와 붉은 베리 잼, 가죽에 절인 건포도로 발전한다. 46도의 입에서는 라즈베리 잼과 라즈베리 초콜릿, 후추 향이 도는 초콜릿의 달큰함이 이어진다. 살구빛 뒤로 붉은 베리의 여운이 부드럽게 중간 길이로 남는다.

a little vinous and rubbery at the same time, before it becomes fruitier, around Xmas cake and red berry jam. A little gunpowder, but also more and more leathery raisins and gingered marmalade. I find it pretty pleasant

pleasant indeed, I’m even finding a Benriachy fruitiness behind the PXed layer. Raspberry jam, raspberry-filled chocolate, some sweet peppered chocolate, more raspberries…
