Tasting Notes
벤리악 16년을 아메리칸 버번 배럴에 소테른 와인 캐스크로 마무리한 우드 피니시다. 노즈에서는 건초 같은 마른 인상과 초크빛 옅은 피트가 드러나고, 그을음과 잉크 같은 미네랄이 뒤따른다. 46도에서 팰럿은 오일리하게 열리며, 바닐라와 복숭아, 멜론 리큐어, 레몬 꽃 꿀의 단맛이 또렷하다. 소테른이 더한 질감이 두껍다. 피니시는 중간 길이로 깔끔하며, 정교하게 다듬어진 인상이 남는 스페이사이드 몰트다.

a hay-y, light, slightly chalky peatiness, almost the opposite of a coastal/medicinal one. A little soot, concrete, certainly quite some ink (flipping through a brand new book), and perhaps drops of brake fluid. Perhaps even castor oil
restaurant Palate
the quarter casks are much more noticeable on the palate. Oily texture, some vanilla and a ‘peachiness’ ala Ardmore, melon liqueur while we’re at it, lemon blossom honey, maple syrup… It’s really thick, but the whisky itself is relatively light. Good lemon, perhaps some kind of earthy limoncello… I find this very good, to tell you the truth, despite the slightly unlikely pedigree. You know, small casks, no age, all that…
