다크 럼 배럴에서 숙성한 시간이 이 벤리악 아루마티쿠스 푸모수스의 이색적인 성격을 빚는다. 피티드 스페이사이드 몰트가 럼 우드와 만나 건포도와 퍼지, 초콜릿과 프랄린의 향에 옅은 훈연을 더한다. 46도의 입안은 호두 오일과 매콤한 향신료, 소금기 어린 리코리스가 어우러져 단단하면서도 개성적인 결을 드러낸다. 럼 배럴이 남긴 이국적인 단맛이 또렷하고, 황금빛 아래로 호두와 트리플섹의 여운이 남는다.

what we had expected. Some raisins, some fudge, a faint grassy/spicy side (green pepper), some chocolate, praline (Nutella, actually), and a wee felling of mulled wine, with star anise and cinnamon. Works for me

works indeed, even if there’s a tiny rubbery/spicy side, with some walnut oil and, well ‘sucking rubber bands’. But the whole’s very pleasant, rather firm, and quite different from other sherried Speysiders (say colleagues Glendronach). A little salted liquorice

good length, with more walnuts and drops of triple-sec
