잔을 낮게 들고 향을 끌어올리면 캐러멜과 오렌지 껍질이 차례로 잡힌다. 뒤에는 육두구와 가죽이 은근하게 깔린다. 한 모금 머금으면 진한 술이 입천장을 천천히 덮는다. 삼킨 자리에는 후추와 탄 참나무가 남는다. 온기가 오르면 흑당과 담배가 함께 두꺼워지고 마실수록 향의 결이 촘촘해진다. 1999년 증류한 배럴을 그대로 병입한 결과다.
