Tasting Notes
은은한 금빛이 잔 안에 따스하게 비친다. 하이랜드의 벤 네비스가 호그스헤드에서 27년을 보낸 보틀링으로, 묵직하고 기름진 성격으로 이름난 증류소다. 코에는 잘 익은 과일과 밀랍, 옅은 흙내가 깊게 피어오른다. 51.4도의 입질에서는 꿀과 졸인 과일, 가죽 같은 무게가 진하게 얽힌다. 벤 네비스다운 오일리한 깊이가 긴 숙성과 맞물려 끝에서 마른 과일과 은근한 오크로 오래도록 맴돈다.

balance through freshness. No fruit bomb, no hectolitres of oil, barely any paint, varnish or putty, just a reasonable number of shellfish, a touch of mustard and horseradish here and there, and some restrained citrus. In short, civilisation. With water: brings out the passion fruit, lovely!

the cask is fairly thick and makes its presence known, straight onto salted and spiced citrus liqueurs. Then come lemon balm, marjoram, and quince paste. For us, quince paste holds the value of gold or platinum, though Wall Street doesn’t seem to have caught on. With water: not much change
