잔을 들어 빛에 비추며 흔들면 진한 황금빛이 맑게 번진다. 코끝을 가져가면 버번 호그스헤드에서 26년 익은 벤 네비스의 잘 익은 복숭아와 꿀, 특유의 밀랍 향이 깊게 올라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 묵직하고 기름진 질감이 혀를 감싸고 오렌지와 보리 단맛이 번진다. 넘긴 뒤에는 왁스 같은 질감과 과실 향이 입천장에 길게 남는다.
