Tasting Notes
1991년 하이랜드 벤네비스가 셰리 버트에서 27년을 보낸 짙은 적갈색이 잔에 깃든다. 향에서는 흑설탕 토피와 말린 자두, 가벼운 왁스의 결이 코끝에 닿는다. 입에서는 짙은 건과일 단맛과 흑설탕, 미세한 유황의 결이 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 53.8도의 도수가 향신료의 결을 또렷이 끌어올리며 풀바디로 입천장을 덮는다. 여운에는 가죽과 흑차, 마른 약초의 쓴맛이 잔잔히 깃들어 길게 이어진다.
AITasting Notes
air Nose
full gold more expressive than the Dumbarton but still a bit shy. More on apple juice and sandalwood, maybe hints of incense and also a little wet moss. But again, that’s all. Nicer than the Dumbarton, though
restaurant Palate
oh well, it’s much better than the Dumbarton but still not quite pleasant, with its notes of rotting oranges and stale bread. It does improve, though, with interesting hints of rose jelly, cider apples and Turkish delights. A little ginger tonic as well. Also a pleasant oakiness and a rather long finish that makes me think of middle-shelf calvados. A nice old grain whisky (again!)
