노즈의 첫인상은 벤네비스의 묵직한 보리와 왁스 향이다. 포트 윌리엄 증류소답게 1996년 증류분에서 마른 과일과 가죽, 옅은 흙내가 23년 숙성 속에 발전한다. 52.7도의 도수에서 입은 진하고 보리 단맛과 견과, 향신료가 균형 있게 흐른다. 피니시는 왁스와 마른 오크로 길게 이어진다. 벤네비스 특유의 거친 질감과 깊이가 또렷한 구조감으로 드러난다.
