벤 네비스 산 기슭 포트 윌리엄의 서늘하고 습윤한 하이랜드 공기가 이 위스키에 밀랍 같은 독특한 질감을 새긴다. 잔에는 옅은 화이트 와인빛이 어린다. 1996년 증류한 17년산은 코에 바나나와 꿀, 밀랍과 엘더플라워의 향을 부드럽게 올리고 옅은 꽃가루 내음이 스민다. 50.2도의 매끈한 질감 속에서 입에는 사과주스와 여러 겹의 꿀, 계피와 옅은 후추가 감돌며 시간이 갈수록 짭짤함이 번진다. 여운은 짭조름한 기운과 벌집꿀, 은은한 스파이스로 길게 이어지며 산기슭의 개성을 남긴다.
