영국에서 가장 높은 산 벤네비스 발치 포트윌리엄에서 빚어지는 벤네비스는 묵직하고 토속적인 하일랜드 몰트다. 1973년 증류해 26년을 보낸 이 포트윌리엄 리미티드는 잔에 깊은 호박빛을 머금는다. 향에는 말린 과일과 왁스, 흙내 도는 곰팡이향이 얽히고, 입에서는 50.8도의 술이 묵은 가죽과 진한 과일 단맛으로 흐른다. 여운은 코코아와 향신료를 묵직하게 남긴다.

yeah yeah yeah. Linseed oil and orange peel, plasticine and fresh almonds, the same peaches as in the 1996, and some very nice whiffs of high-brand moisturizer. Guerlain or something, I’m no expert. With water: strange, the hand cream comes to the front, which makes the whole a notch too soapy/creamy for me
restaurant Palate
mineral, waxy, oily, citrusy, almondy. Yes we’ll keep this short and sweet. With water: not sure, it kind of falls apart, with the good stuff on one side (lemons) and a bizarre chemical waxiness on the other side (Play-doh, plastic). A shame, this started very well
timer Finish
medium, still oddly sappy, but the background stuff is excellent, lemons, zests…
