노즈에서는 62도가 넘는 도수 아래 벤 네비스 특유의 왁스 같은 질감과 진한 과일 향이 먼저 두드러진다. 퍼스트필 버번과 셰리, 와인 캐스크가 어우러져 꿀과 마른 과일, 가죽이 층층이 발전한다. 팰럿은 강렬하지만 물을 더하면 오렌지와 보리 단맛, 향신료가 또렷하게 균형을 잡는다. 피니시는 길고 뜨거우며 왁스와 흙내가 깊게 머문다. 2008년 증류한 이 위스키의 묵직한 골격이 명확하게 드러나는 첫 배치다.
