오랜 세월이 응축된 구릿빛 호박색이 잔 안쪽을 천천히 물들인다. 켄터키 바즈타운의 헤븐힐 증류소가 1999년에 채운 단일 배럴에서 10년을 보낸 이 버번은 코끝에 바닐라 크림과 흑설탕, 잘 익은 체리 향을 먼저 올린다. 50도라는 도수답게 입안에서는 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르며 캐러멜과 그을린 오크, 옅은 계피가 뒤를 잇는다. 삼킨 자리에는 참나무 탄닌과 마른 담뱃잎이 길게 남는다. 보틀드 인 본드다운 골격이 끝까지 단단하다.
