잔을 가까이 하면 마른 체리와 오렌지 껍질의 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 1999년에 증류된 원액답게 과일 뉘앙스는 신선하기보다 농축된 쪽에 가깝고, 팰럿에서는 붉은 과일의 산미가 오크의 단맛과 맞물린다. 헨리 맥케나 싱글 배럴은 배럴마다 표정이 달라 이런 과실 계열이 앞서는 병도 드물지 않다. 여운은 시나몬과 마른 껍질의 쌉싸름함으로 정리된다.
