잔을 가까이 하면 구운 옥수수와 버터스카치가 명확하게 드러난다. 팰럿에서는 토피와 흑설탕이 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르다가 정향이 방향을 바꾼다. 헨리 맥케나 10년은 보틀드 인 본드 조건을 그대로 지킨 원액이라 성격이 흔들리지 않는다. 한참 두고 기다리면 단맛보다 마른 나무 쪽이 앞자리로 나온다. 피니시는 커피와 마른 나무 향이 서서히 사그라들며 중간 이상 길게 남는다.
