Tasting Notes
잔을 둥글게 돌리면 1st 필 셰리가 입힌 짙은 적갈빛이 잔 안에 잠긴다. 코를 가져가면 모틀락 특유의 고기 육수 같은 묵직함과 말린 자두, 가죽 향이 뒤섞여 올라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 22년 숙성된 원액의 빽빽한 질감이 혀를 채우고, 54.4도의 기운이 셰리의 단맛과 짭짤함을 동시에 끌어올린다. 삼키면 다크초콜릿과 향신료, 묵직한 고기 풍미의 끝맛이 입안 깊이 오래 머문다.

huge sulphur. I mean, old guns, used matches, town gas and black truffles. These are not smells that are unseen in Mortlach (the early Flora & Fauna spring to mind) but this one’s going quite far, becoming almost smoky (pine cone smoke).
