Tasting Notes
잔을 가만히 들면 1936년에 증류해 43년을 보낸 몰틀락의 짙은 마호가니빛이 두꺼운 다리를 그리며 잔벽을 타고 흐른다. 코끝에 가져가면 고든 앤 맥페일 코노시어스 초이스다운 묵은 셰리의 건포도, 가죽, 오래된 시가 박스 향이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 한 모금을 머금으면 40도가 부드럽게 입천장을 덮으며 다크 초콜릿과 무화과 잼이 천천히 굴러간다. 삼키고 나면 90년 가까운 시간이 빚어낸 깊은 흙내가 길게 이어진다.

it’s amazing how close we are to the 25yo in style. This one is just a tad rounder and marginally more on marmalade and mint, with also added whiffs of old roses and honeydew. Globally, it’s just fabulous
restaurant Palate
ah yes, yes and yes! Now we’re talking, this is as big as such an old glory can be at 70proof, starting on a lot of resin, mint and smoke (Kools ;-)), with a great bitterness and then a very honeyed development. Honeydew, marmalade, ginger liqueur, mint-flavoured marshmallows, Turkish delights… And then more spices, of all kinds (cinnamon and nutmeg first). Amazing body at 43+31, the Sharon Stone of malt whisky (S., cut the crap, will you? It’s Demi Moore.)
