잔을 가까이 하면 흑설탕과 구운 바나나 같은 무거운 단내가 명확하게 드러난다. 팰럿은 진한 캐러멜과 토피로 시작해 곧 육두구와 정향이 매운 층을 만든다. 10년이라는 숙성 기간이 버번 기준으로는 긴 축에 속해 탄닌의 골격이 단단하게 서 있다. 물 한 방울이면 향의 층이 한 겹 더 열리고 매운 기운이 가라앉는다. 여운에서는 커피와 삼나무의 마른 향이 천천히 사그라든다.
