Tasting Notes
잔을 가볍게 흔들면 골드빛 위스키가 벽을 타고 느릿하게 흘러내린다. 코끝으로 가져가면 성냥과 유황, 볶은 견과의 묵직한 향이 가장 먼저 밀려든다. 27년을 셰리우드에서 보낸 몰트락 특유의 거칠고 개성 강한 결이 그대로 드러난다. 코를 다시 대면 낡은 가죽과 그을린 고무의 향이 뒤이어 올라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 레몬빛 생강과 호두, 검은 후추가 52.6도의 힘으로 입천장을 눌러온다. 물을 몇 방울 더해 다시 삼키면 고에스터 럼을 닮은 서늘한 결이 열린다. 뒷맛에는 검은 트러플과 향신료의 기운이 목을 타고 오래 이어진다.

lol! Huge sulphur, this smells almost like a Napoleon cannon that just fired. A large box of used matches, the exhaust of an E-Type, many roasted nuts, Paris’ périphérique (ring) on a Friday evening… And yet there’s some charm to this. I don’t know, this is not a flaw, it’s a feature. See what I mean? With water: poo-ah! (in French we say pouah!) A working tyre factory
restaurant Palate
not as extreme, but you’re still feeling like you’re eating a piece of tyre with some orange sauce. Big leather, lemony ginger, green pepper sauce, walnuts, burned rubber, black truffles… With water: notes of high-ester rum. Serious. That’s nice!
