잔을 흔들어 향을 깨우면 리필 통을 거친 모틀락이 살짝 기름지고 풀내음 어린 향을 먼저 내민다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 갓 켠 톱밥 같은 나무 향 아래로 잘 익은 배의 상큼함이 뜻밖에 살아난다. 잔을 다시 기울여 맡으면 옅은 곡물과 마른 오크의 기운이 감돈다. 57.3도의 높은 도수를 한 모금 머금으면 배 오드비를 닮은 맑고 강한 과일의 맛이 혀를 채운다. 혀끝으로 천천히 굴리면 배의 상큼함이 조금 더 또렷해진다. 삼키면 16년이 남긴 곡물의 스피릿과 배의 여운이 목 안쪽에서 산뜻하게 이어진다.
