Tasting Notes
맑은 볏짚빛이 잔 속에 투명하게 잠겨 있다. 스페이사이드의 육중한 증류소 모틀락답게 1986년 원액에서 체리와 크랜베리, 배의 향이 뜻밖에 화사하게 피어오른다. 15년의 숙성은 강건한 스피릿을 다듬어, 입안에서는 마라스키노와 아마레토 같은 과실 리큐어가 진하게 번진다. 58.2퍼센트의 도수에도 깔끔한 과실의 여운이 또렷이 깃들어 길게 남는다.

air Nose
feels a little hot and spirity at first, with very obvious notes of kirschwasser and perhaps bison vodka, then we find pears and cranberries, and even young fine de Bourgogne or something. Intriguing and a little destabilising when unreduced, to tell you the truth. With water: the barley is back, together with breads, leaven, yeasts and porridge. Excuse me, but hurray!
restaurant Palate
very fruity, more on fruit liqueurs than on eaux-de-vies this time. Amaretto, maraschino, Heering, guignolet… Got to love cherries, I do. With water: it's rather spectacular how the malt wins it once H2O's been added, although it would remain pretty fruity altogether. A croissant filled with cherry jam, yum…
