Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 포트 호그스헤드 피니시가 입힌 붉은 베리와 자두, 다크체리 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 57.5도의 높은 도수에도 입에서는 24년 숙성한 글렌로시스의 부드러운 과실 단맛과 포트 와인의 새콤달콤한 결이 또렷하게 발전한다. 1992년 빈티지를 포트 캐스크로 마무리해 색과 향 모두 붉은 과일 쪽으로 명확하게 기운다. 후반에는 코코아와 가벼운 오크 스파이스가 더해지며 구조감이 단단해진다. 피니시는 베리의 산미와 탄닌이 길게 남는, 와인 캐스크의 개성이 분명한 한 잔이다.

the good news is that it is not Porty (but it may be sporty). Wee notes of sangria, but also blood oranges, shortbread, Mars bar, marzipan, praline and a kind of fudge-y bouillon. Marrow croquettes and Spanish ham. Candied cherries. All very nice I have to say, rather more ‘sherry’ than ‘Port’. With water: lovely herbs coming out, sage, oregano, mint, chives, parsley…
restaurant Palate
the finishing’s just underlining the punchy malty and orangey distillate. Thin mints, raspberry ganache, butterscotch, notes of Szechuan pepper, a touch of fresh turmeric… With water: very good, rather on Seville oranges and soft peppers of various kinds
timer Finish
medium, a notch more herbal. Dark chocolate in the aftertaste
