Tasting Notes
잔을 들어 천천히 돌리면 셰리 캐스크가 입힌 짙은 호박빛이 잔 안에서 매끈하게 돈다. 코끝으로 가져가면 클라이넬리시다운 왁스 같은 질감 위로 셰리가 더한 말린 자두와 오렌지의 향이 피어오른다. 한 모금을 머금어 혀로 굴리면 51.7도의 기운 속에 꿀과 건과일, 옅은 소금기가 또렷하게 번진다. 혀끝으로 술을 밀어 보면 클라이넬리시다운 왁스 같은 질감과 잘 익은 오렌지가 한층 또렷하게 퍼진다. 17년을 묵은 이 하이랜드 위스키는 삼킨 뒤 왁스와 셰리의 단맛이 매끄럽게 이어진다.

oh no, a 1996 that’s akin to a 1997! Maybe a little more toasted bread, as if the cask had been a little more active, but other than that, it’s a crystal-clean, waxy and sauvignony Clynelish. Tough luck!
