잔을 코앞에서 좌우로 흔들면 옥수수빵과 바닐라 크림의 향이 뭉근하게 올라온다. 색은 가을 낙엽에 가까운 갈색으로 잔 안에서 묵직하게 흔들린다. 한 모금 머금으면 알코올이 또렷하게 혀끝을 찌른 뒤 토피와 육두구의 단맛으로 풀려 나간다. 잔을 비운 뒤에도 옥수수 껍질 향이 한동안 잔 안에 남는다. 1999년에 증류된 이 배럴의 시간이 마지막에 마른 참나무와 다크 초콜릿으로 남는다.
