Tasting Notes
옅은 황금빛이 잔 속에서 윤기 있게 일렁인다. 2000년 증류해 버번 호그스헤드에서 20년을 보낸 클라이넬리시를 하이 스피리츠 컬렉션이 담았다. 밀랍과 잘 익은 배, 옅은 바다 소금의 향이 부드럽게 피어오른다. 54.7도의 도수에서 입은 꿀과 시트러스, 특유의 기름진 질감으로 매끄럽게 흐른다. 왁스 같은 촉감으로 사랑받는 하이랜드 증류소의 개성이 또렷하게 드러난다. 짭조름한 꿀의 여운이 길게 이어진다.

yeah, there, some Brora character, with some grass smoke, mustard, ointments, plaster, tar, old tools, engine oil, rusty old tins, earth, even touches of manure, whiffs of burning lamp oil, then orange peel, tangerines starting to rot or to become ‘very overripe’… The magic happens again! With water: amazing waxy/mineral/citrusy/earthy development. Everything’s in place, just like in the John Coltrane Quartet (say A love supreme)

the kind of whisky that you want to marry. Amazing, almost slamming combination of cigars, bitter oranges, salted rum, chalk, white pepper, quinces, old herbal liqueurs (long forgotten recipes), toothpaste for gourmets (what?)… With water: exceptional. The smoky side grew much bigger
